Bellagio HotelWe visited Las Vegas while on this trip. It was a first for me and I was excited to be seeing a new place on my travels. Though when we got there, I was very underwhelmed. I found it ugly. The place which I know is set in a desert is just not a good look. It is barren apart from the actual strip, which is like walking onto a film set and seeing right behind that cardboard cut out of a street is just painted cement, rubbish and just blah! I was happy to get to the Bellagio which you could tell was luxurious even if a little dated. The reception was so busy the whole thing reminded me of a shopping centre. Luckily we got a lovely lady named Carmen, who made sure we were all checked in and looked after well. The room I really liked, it was spacious, elegant and light and airy, it had a great view of the pool area, and the marble bathroom (with soaking tub) was massive for a hotel. The bed was really comfortable and the mini bar one of the best and most varied I have seen. Everything I could of needs was at my fingertips. The hotel is based right on the strip and it in a great location. So many things are walking distance to it and if not a quick Uber to cab ride gets you there. It also features the incredible 8 acre lake with Bellagio Fountains which are a huge draw card on the strip. Many tourists and alike come to watch the water and music display each night. Operated by the MGM Resorts group (who own many of the hotels/resorts along the strip) the hotel boasts Rooms, Suites and accessible options, entertainment, International restaurants, nightlife and the casino plus much more. It is home to the Cirque du Soleil "O" show. You can join the M Life Rewards to earn points on your spend. The resort has a really great gym and the pool area is beautifully designed with 5 outdoor pools, The Pool cafe and bar offers a really great breakfast which I enjoyed twice. (see pictures) The only thing I didn't like is that people are still able to smoke inside the casino. So to get from the rooms from the reception desk, you had to walk through a smoke filled casino floor. It was horrid especially first thing in the morning after going to gym. Though the casino for people who love to gamble has over 2000 slot machines, and 40 poker tables. I would definitely stay again, if I ever went back to Vegas. And I would recommend it to anyone going. Great place to stay!
